Erchonia Advanced Laser Therapy

Lasers increase the energy necessary for injured cells to heal and regenerate.

Non-Invasive Healing!

Low-level laser therapy is a safe and comfortable treatment option for a variety of conditions, and patients report no discomfort or pain during the procedure.  With no downtime or recovery after treatment, you can enjoy the benefits of low-level laser therapy without any inconveniences or risks.

What is Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy stimulates damaged cells with specific light wavelengths, promoting healing without heat damage. It triggers cellular activities, enhancing enzyme production, mitochondrial function, vasodilation, and immune response. This accelerates pain relief and healing, preventing chronic pain syndromes and promoting faster recovery. Simply stated, laser enables patients to escape pain faster and heal better.

Over 10,000 published papers highlight laser therapy benefits, including:

  • Increased production of ATP

An energy molecule that is vital to the function of every cell in your body.

  • Recovery from Injuries and Accident 25-35% Faster

The difference in recovery time versus when laser is not used.

  • Sports Performance Enhancement

Two studies published in 2017 showed that athletes who received laser treatment experienced increased muscle size and strength, improved endurance, and faster recovery from games and training compared to those who did not.

  • Stimulation of Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor

This process stimulates the growth of new nerves and connections, aiding in concussion recovery, addressing neurodegeneration, and enhancing cognitive function.

  • Increased Production of Nitric Oxide

This can promote better blood flow and widen blood vessels, and it has been found to boost the immune system, even in patients with autoimmune conditions.

  • Modulation of the Immune System

It aids in improved performance without suppressing or overstimulating.

  • Increased Production of Glutathione

This potent antioxidant reduces inflammation, neutralizes free radicals, and provides benefits for patients before and after surgery, as well as supporting and modulating the immune system.

  • Stimulates the repair of muscles, ligaments, bones, and nerves.

There have even been studies showing laser stimulating the repair of thyroid tissue.

Top Ten Biological Effects of Laser Therapy

  • Low-Level Laser therapy creates an anti-edema effect by dilating blood vessels and activating the lymphatic drainage system (which drains swollen areas). This reduces swelling caused by trauma or inflammation.

  • Low-Level Laser therapy exerts a very beneficial effect on pain in multiple ways. It partially blocks the neural transmission of pain signals to the brain. It decreases nerve sensitivity. Laser light also lessens pain by reducing edema. A fourth pain-blocking mechanism involves the production of high levels of pain-killing chemicals such as endorphins, enkephalins, and opioids from the brain and adrenal gland.

  • Photons of light from lasers penetrate deeply into tissues and accelerate cellular reproduction and growth. Laser light also increases the energy available to the cell by increasing ATP production so that the cell can take on nutrients faster and eliminate waste products. As a result of exposure to laser light, all cells, including the cells of tendons, ligaments, and muscles, are repaired faster.

  • Low-level Laser Therapy significantly increases the formation of new capillaries in damaged tissue, which speeds up the healing process, closes wounds more quickly, and reduces scarring. Low Level Laser Therapy also causes vasodilation, an increase in the diameter of blood vessels, which improves the delivery of blood and healing elements to damaged tissues.

  • Low-Level Laser Therapy stimulates higher outputs of specific pro-healing enzymes in blood cells, along with improved oxygen and nutrient delivery.

  • Low-level Laser Therapy stimulates muscle trigger points an acupuncture points on a non-invasive basis, providing musculoskeletal pain relief.

  • Low-level laser Therapy reduces the formation of scar tissue following tissue damage from cuts, scratches, burns, or surgery.

  • Nerves in damaged tissue result in impaired sensory and motor function. Low-Level Laser Therapy speeds up the process of axonal regeneration and nerve cell reconnection and increases the amplitude of action potentials to optimize muscle action.

  • Item Level Laser Therapy directly affects immunity status by stimulating the production of immunoglobulins and lymphocytes and improving the ease of penetration of white blood cells into damaged tissue. description

  • Low-level Laser Therapy stimulates fibroblast development (fibroblasts are the building blocks of collagen, which is predominant in would healing) in damaged tissue. Collagen is the essential protein required to replace old tissue or repair tissue injuries. As a result, Low Level Laser Therapy is effective on open wounds and burns.

FAQs

Are there any side effects?

We use safe, low-powered lasers known as Class 2 lasers for therapy. They have minimal side effects and are considered the safest. These lasers typically don't require protective eyewear because blinking provides enough eye protection. However, when treating the head, patients wear protective eyewear. For patients with autoimmune conditions or a history of concussion, we start with a very low laser dose to avoid causing any flare-ups. We generally avoid using lasers over a pregnant uterus or areas with cancer as a precaution, despite some studies suggesting potential benefits in these cases.

How quickly can I see results?

We anticipate seeing improvements during your initial visit. However, it's important to note that achieving a complete resolution of symptoms is often unrealistic. Depending on the nature of your injury or condition, we aim to help you reduce pain and enhance function by approximately 15% to 30-40% after the first session.

What is it used for?

The potential uses of low-level laser (3LT®) are extensive. Erchonia has received clearance for treating conditions like Neck and Shoulder Pain, Low Back Pain, Nociceptive Musculoskeletal Pain, Plantar Fasciitis, Postoperative Pain, Acne, Laser-Assisted Liposuction, Non-Invasive Body Contouring, Onychmycosis, and others. They're also conducting ongoing clinical trials for additional applications.

How are lasers different from LED and inferred therapies?

Clinical outcomes for our GVL by Erchonia were 7x more effective than LEDs and 100% more energetic than infrared.

How is low-level laser therapy administered?

The mechanics of low-level laser therapy are based on the indication for use; however, the general process is that the probe containing the laser diode(s) is held in place or moved gently over the treatment area at a distance of anywhere from 4” – 12.”
